Q: Will the final stamp look like my artwork?
This is our top priority when we make custom stamps. By using photopolymer rubber and technology, be assured that your stamps will look just like the original design.
Q: What materials do you use?
All our stamps are produced in-house with a high quality photopolymer rubber, which makes them durable and crisp for thousands of impressions. The stamp dies are mounted on a wooden block using a foam pad.
Q: Do you sell your handcarved stamps?
Due to time constraint, handcarved stamps are reserved for personal projects and special requests. In our shop, you can purchase the pre-made polymer rubber versions which were made based on similar designs. Or, join our workshop to learn how to carve your own!
Q: I wish to attend your workshop but I'm not free on the listed dates.
If you're able to form a party of at least 2 people, we can arrange for a private session at a venue of your choice.
Q: Can you come to our office/school to teach us stamp carving?
Of course! Drop us an enquiry at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out about our special corporate rates for large groups.
Q: What will be provided at the workshop?
All tools and materials will be prepared by ParadeMade. This includes soft rubber carving block, a range of cutting tools, templates and ink pads.
Q: Can you do a live demonstration at my event?
I'd love to! Let's discuss over email at email@example.com
Q: How do I stamp evenly like you do?
Pat your stamp on the ink pad gently. Only the protruding surface needs to be inked; if the stamp is flooded with ink, the print may smudge.
Also, placing a piece of cloth or stack of paper underneath your stamping project helps in more even printing. It's always a good idea to practice on scrap paper first.
Q: Which brand of ink pad do you recommend?
Our favourite ink pads are from Tsukineko under the Versafine, Versacolor and Versacraft product range.
Q: How do I stamp on fabric such as cotton tote bags and T-shirts?
Use a fabric-friendly ink pad like Versacraft and Memento Luxe, then heat set with an iron for 30 seconds.
Q: My stamps are dirty. How do I clean them?
To clean your stamps after use, or before switching to another colour, spot clean with a damp paper towel or kneadable eraser.
You may give the stamp a quick rinse under the tap with a little soap, but DO NOT soak it in water as this may cause the wooden mount to warp.
Lastly, it's normal for stamps to be slightly stained. Like they say, a stamp which is completely clean, is one that's never been used!
